The vineyards of the Palmento La Rosa are situated on the eastern slopes of Mount Etna between Catania and Taormina. They cover about 5’000 m2.
The peculiar micro-climate as well as the sandy volcanic soil grant ideal conditions for Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio.
The vines are concentrated, complex and rich in surprising mineral tastes.
The more than 200 year old walls of rough stones, without any concrete, have been thoroughly restored while new wine plants have been planted more than 15 years ago.
